A female graduate is suing Warwick University after she ended up joining the Conservative Party following her three-year sociology degree.
Sophie Anderson lodged the claim after paying the membership fee, expressing public support for Kemi Badenoch, and paying for a year’s subscription to The Telegraph.
While university officials are remaining tight-lipped about the news, Sophie was bullish when we caught up with her late last night.
“Everything was OK at first. I was vegan, going on anti-Israel marches, and not using deodorant. But things started going wrong when I found out that someone in my course will probably never pay back his student loan.
“I intend on getting a job and paying taxes, so I will never be able to escape my student loan. It’s just not fair.
“Within a couple of weeks, I’d started to eat chicken. I also found myself showering once a day and removing the beads from my hair. I even stopped watching Sky News.
“Before I knew it, I was at a local Conservative Party meeting with a guy called Tarquin. I didn’t go to university to become an upstanding member of society. It’s not on!”
We understand that Warwick University intends to fight the claim. While officials refuse to comment on a particular case, they insist that every arts course they offer comes with a no-Tory guarantee.
